Balancing Trade and Security

The Center for International Trade
and Security

Through research, training and outreach, faculty in the Center for International Trade and Security (CITS) strive to mitigate the threat posed by the trade of weapons of mass destruction as well as other materials, technologies, and military-related transfers.

The Center’s research is available in print and on the Internet in books, editorials, briefings, journals, and through The Monitor, its quarterly report. CITS faculty host public forums and contribute to conferences in the worldwide strategic trade community.

The Center places great emphasis on teaching, and CITS graduates earn distinguished fellowships and scholarships at the nation’s top schools. Many go on to positions with government organizations around the world, including the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations, and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
